Oldham couplings disengage if the disc breaks, acting as a mechanical fuse. Well-suited for handling large amounts of parallel misalignment. Also called a Oldham coupling insert, disk, or disc. Ruland oldham couplings have a zero-backlash balanced design for reduced vibration at speeds up to 4,500 RPM. They can accommodate high amounts of parallel misalignment (up to 10% of the hub OD). User can combine clamp or set screw hub with inch, metric, keyed, or keyless bore for a high level of customization. Made from acetal for higher torque and torsional stiffness capabilities than nylon. Ruland oldham coupling disks are RoHS3 and REACH compliant
